Data from: Seasonal constraints on maternal body size induce transgenerational fitness penalties in a sheet-web spider
Abstract
Seasonal environmental fluctuations shape life-history strategies of arthropod predators. We investigated transgenerational constraints in the sheet-web spider Hylyphantes graminicola, collecting parental cohorts during early summer and early autumn. F1 offspring were reared under standardized laboratory conditions. Data include parental body size, F1 survival, development time, offspring body size, mating behavior, and reproductive performance.
