Abstract

The Louisiana State Legislature established the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act (CWPPRA) to conserve, restore, create and enhance Louisiana's coastal wetlands. Restoration plans developed under CWPPRA require evaluating the effectiveness of each project in achieving long-term solutions to coastal wetlands loss. This data set includes mosaicked aerial photographs for the Cameron-Creole Watershed Grand Bayou Marsh Creation (CS-54) project for 2024. The imagery serves as a basemap for land-water classification and as a visual tool for project managers to identify potential issues or land loss within project boundaries. To better assess restoration effectiveness, land-water classification is performed on specific CWPPRA sites to monitor landscape changes over time.
