Abstract

The incorporation of emerging technologies by organized crime has expanded its offensive capacity and impacted public security. In this context, the use of drones combined with explosive devices represents a significant threat, with the potential to alter traditional patterns of violence. This article analyzes the implications of the use of explosive-laden drones by criminal organizations for the planning and performance of public security forces, especially Military Police institutions. This study adopts a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on a bibliographic review and documentary analysis of national and international sources. The results indicate that this practice enables remote attacks, reduces direct risk to offenders, and hinders state response. It is concluded that this phenomenon poses strategic challenges to public security, requiring doctrinal updates and strengthened police intelligence.
