Abstract

This study investigates the role of group cohesion in enhancing teamwork efficiency within public and private sector organizations. Group cohesion, defined as the strength of relationships and unity among team members, has been widely recognized as a critical factor influencing team performance and organizational success. This research compares how group cohesion manifests in public versus private sector settings, examining its influence on communication, collaboration, motivation, and overall productivity. Through a mixed-method approach incorporating surveys and interviews across both sectors, the findings reveal that while group cohesion positively affects teamwork in both contexts, its formation and impact are moderated by organizational structure, leadership style, and workplace culture. The study provides recommendations for improving team efficiency by fostering stronger cohesion tailored to sector-specific dynamics. Keywords: Group Cohesion, Teamwork Efficiency, Public Sector, Private Sector, Organizational Culture.
