Abstract

This study aims to explore the extent to which the largest Omani Islamic banks adopt the digital banking services. The qualitative approach is adopted, including the case study approach and in-depth face-to-face interview with a representative of the digital department in Bank Nazwa. Findings reported that digital transformation has positively impacted service quality and customer satisfaction through faster service delivery. Meanwhile, the results concluded that the bank offers a wide range of digital technologies and services. Moreover, findings of the interview reported that the bank has made significant progress, with most of its services now fully digital, making it a leading bank in this field among Islamic banks. Additionally, it is concluded that the digital services contributed to attracting a new segment of customers. Further, the results confirmed that the bank applies strict security policies and international standards such as PCI-DSS and conducts regular tests on its security systems to address the cybersecurity issues and customer data protection. The current work's results have significant practical and theoretical implications that are more likely to be useful for several interested parties.
