Pembrolizumab (Keytruda)
Abstract
Reimbursement reviews are comprehensive assessments of the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, as well as patient and clinician perspectives, of a drug or drug class. The assessments inform nonbinding recommendations that help guide the reimbursement decisions of Canada’s federal, provincial, and territorial governments, with the exception of Quebec. This review assesses Pembrolizumab (Keytruda), 100 mg/4 mL vial, solution for infusion. Indication: For the treatment of FIGO 2014 stage III to IVA cervical cancer, patients should receive pembrolizumab 200 mg every 3 weeks or 400 mg every 6 weeks until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity or up to 24 months. Pembrolizumab should be administered before chemoradiotherapy when given on the same day.
