TRANSFORMATION OF THE MANAGEMENT PARADIGM OF A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN THE ERA OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Abstract
The article presents a theoretical conceptualization and conceptual analysis of the transformation of higher education institution management systems during the emergence of the era of the artificial intelligence world. It is substantiated that the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational space extends beyond purely technological modernization and acquires the characteristics of a systemforming factor that changes the very nature of managerial rationality. It is proven that the modern university is transforming into a complex cyber-social system, the functioning of which requires a departure from classical administrative-bureaucratic models in favor of flexible, adaptive strategies. The paper analyzes changes in the logic of managerial decision-making, where algorithmic big data analytics becomes a support tool rather than a substitute for human judgment. It is emphasized that under conditions of digital uncertainty, ethical sensitivity, strategic thinking, and the capacity for systemic reflection become key competencies for a manager. The transformation of the phenomenon of university leadership is revealed, as it acquires a distributed character, with the leader becoming a mediator between technological capabilities and the humanistic values of the academic community.Special attention is paid to the risks of a technocratic shift and the necessity of maintaining a balance between algorithmic efficiency and the university's social mission. The impact of AI on personnel policy, organizational culture, and the architecture of the educational process is examined, where technologies should enhance rather than diminish pedagogical autonomy. The conclusions emphasize the unique strategic position of Ukrainian higher education, which, as a result of forced and rapid digitalization, has gained the opportunity to build a new model of a digital university "from scratch," embedding the Журнал «Наукові інновації та передові технології» № 1(53) 2026 337 principles of human-centricity and ethical responsibility directly into the foundation of management systems.
