Abstract

This paper develops an interdisciplinary framework in which psychoanalytic transitions are reformulated within a quantitative dynamicalalgebraic model derived from modern theoretical physics. The proposed approach is based on the theory of inverse portal energy tunneling (IPET), originally introduced in the context of phase transitions between isomorphic spacetime sectors arising from the decomposition of a higher-dimensional maternal space. In the present work, this formalism is extended to the description of mental and psychoanalytic processes.Within this framework, conscious and unconscious mental domains are modeled as dynamically connected algebraic structures associated with different spacetime signatures, represented by the Clifford algebras Cl(1,3) and Cl(0,4), respectively.Transitions between these domains are mediated by portal regions characterized by a continuation of the metric rather than by classical causal evolution. This allows psychoanalytic phenomena such as repression, symptom formation, traumatic fixation, and insight to be interpreted as threshold-driven transitions analogous to tunneling processes near critical points in physical systems.A key conceptual innovation of the work is the introduction of a continuous effective parameter, referred to as "psychic energy," which plays the role of a control parameter governing proximity to portal criticality.Importantly, this quantity is not interpreted as a directly measurable neurophysiological energy, but as a normalized model parameter expressed in natural units, enabling the application of analytical and numerical techniques standard in theoretical physics. This clarification ensures conceptual consistency and avoids category errors commonly associated with metaphorical uses of physical terminology in psychoanalysis.№ 13(54) 2025 1597The IPET formalism demonstrates invariance under metric continuation between Lorentzian and Euclidean sectors, indicating that the portal dynamics preserves its functional structure independently of the specific spacetime signature. This robustness suggests that the proposed mechanism captures a structural feature of the underlying dynamical-algebraic model rather than an artifact of parametrization or coordinate choice.Numerical simulations implemented in Python illustrate the emergence of critical thresholds and tunneling probabilities corresponding to distinct psychoanalytic states. The results position IPET as an avant-garde methodological platform for modeling psychoanalytic transitions in a non-metaphorical, mathematically explicit manner.More broadly, the approach opens perspectives for constructing unified models of mental dynamics, capable of encompassing a wide spectrum of psychological states within a single phase-transition-based framework, and for further extensions to complex dynamical systems beyond psychoanalysis.
