The article examines the practical aspect of proficiency in the state language as a complex phenomenon that encompasses speech competence, language culture, communicative skills and the ability to effectively communicate between people.Proficiency in the state language is interpreted not only as knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, but also as the ability to implement language knowledge in real communicative situations, adhering to the norms of literary language, speech etiquette, stylistic adequacy and sociocultural requirements.The author emphasizes that modern language competencies should be formed on the basis of practical activity, which includes both oral and written speech, as well as critical thinking, argumentation, editing and self-control skills.The paper analyzes key factors that influence the level of proficiency in the state language: the quality of the language environment, systematic learning, motivation, social and professional need for speech, the presence of language models and practical communicative tasks.Typical difficulties encountered by speakers are considered, in particular, mixing language norms, tracing, lexical errors, violations of grammatical structure, insufficient stylistic accuracy and lack of speech ethics.The role of speech practice in educational conditions is separately highlighted: working with texts of various genres, training dialogical and monological speech, modeling communicative situations, using interactive methods, self-analysis and reflection.The conclusion of the article is that practical proficiency in the state language is an important indicator of civic competence, professional effectiveness and cultural identity.The author emphasizes the need for a systematic approach to the formation of speech competence, which includes the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as the creation of a favorable speech environment.
