Abstract

The duration of the legal effects produced by administrative acts extends over the period of existence of the acts, the cessation of the effects being marked by the moment when the administrative acts cease to be in force, either as a result of the intervention of an act issued for this purpose or as a result of material facts provided for by law. In the specialized literature of recent decades, when the subject addressed is the expiry of administrative acts, most authors list only revocation, annulment, and repeal as methods, overlooking the institution of the lapse of administrative acts. In this sense, the subject of the research is some views of legislative, doctrinal, and jurisprudential analysis regarding the specific particularities of the lapse and revocation of administrative acts. At the same time, this scientific article also includes a comparative analysis between these two institutions of administrative law.
