Hygienic assessment of the effect of the prebiotic feed additive «Beta-Carotene Complex» on clinical and biochemical blood parameters of Alpine and Saanen goats
Abstract
Poor housing conditions, poor feed quality, and unbalanced diets in modern goat farming lead to metabolic disorders, which are reflected in clinical and biochemical blood parameters in goats. The more metabolic disorders in the body, the more severe and profound the changes in the blood system and the functioning of certain organs and tissues. Stable hematological and biochemical status is essential for normal bodily function. Today, in the context of intensive livestock farming, various prebiotic feed supplements are widely used to normalize metabolism, enhance natural resistance in animals, and improve feed digestibility and palatability. Analysis of complex blood parameters can be used both to monitor the animals' nutrient requirements and to improve the quality of diets. Therefore, the study of some hematological and biochemical blood parameters in dairy goats when various feed additives are included in their diets is currently a pressing research task in veterinary science.
