National Islands Plan Survey, 2020
Abstract
The National Islands Plan Survey, 2020 was delivered to 20,000 adult residents of Scotland’s islands in 2020 to gather their views on questions related to the twelve objectives of the National Islands Plan, which was published by the Scottish Government in 2019 following the passage of the Islands (Scotland) Act (2018). The survey aimed to improve the availability of data held about Scotland's islands; measure aspects of the National Islands Plan consistently within and across Scotland's island communities; and provide baseline data against which to measure the effectiveness of the Plan. The Scottish Islands Survey, 2023 was a follow-up survey of islanders and can be found under SN9340.
