Abstract
The Russian agricultural sector traditionally occupies an important place in the economy of our country. In 2020, Russia's agriculture accounted for approximately 4% of gross domestic product (GDP). At the same time, the agricultural industry itself has an impact on many other sectors of the economy, such as the food industry, the textile industry, agricultural processing, and others. And if we analyze the dynamics, then in 2020 agriculture accounted for about 4% of Russia's GDP, but by 2024 this figure has tripled. The state strategy in the field of agricultural policy in Russia is aimed at several long-term goals, among which the development of domestic production stands out. In this regard, it is expected to increase the production of domestic agricultural products in order to reduce dependence on imports. This program is aimed at expanding the production of cereals, milk, meat and other strategically important products. As mentioned earlier, innovation and the introduction of new technologies has become an advanced way to support the industry. In recent years, there has been a growing trend of investment in the agricultural sector, reflecting the steady interest in this industry from both the state and private investors. Starting in 2023, the volume of investments in the agricultural sector amounted to 515 billion rubles, which is 8% more than in previous years. The growth was driven, among other things, by increased investments in the modernization of agricultural equipment and technologies, as well as in the development of agro-industrial complexes. Investments in infrastructure, new technologies and environmentally friendly agriculture promise to continue increasing investments in the agricultural sector, which, in turn, contributes to strengthening Russia's food security and improving the competitiveness of domestic agriculture on the global stage.
