The article analyses the importance of communication between village leaders and municipal authorities in the context of local community safety management, crisis response and effective use of human resources. The publication presents the results of empirical research conducted in the municipality of Janów Podlaski, which was a pilot study initiating a broader exploration of the issue of communication in local management and safety.
