Enhancement of Asenapine Maleate Oral Bioavailability by Solid Lipid Nanoparticles: An Invivo Study
Abstract
Asenapine Maleate (ASM) is atypical antipsychotic drug used in schizophrenia. Asenapine maleate is a BCS-II having less than 2% bioavailability due to extensive 1st pass metabolism. In this study, enhancement of low oral bioavailability of Asenapine maleate by Nano lipid carrier approach with thin film hydration technique. A single dose pharmacokinetic investigation in New Zealand healthy rabbits found a considerable rise in ASP concentration in the brain after intranasal administration of ASP-MNE, reaching a maximum of 997.3.±3.07ng h/ml. Bioanalytical procedures used to measure drug catabolites in biological fluids have significance in the assessment and interpretation of bioavailability. The development of selective and sensitive bioanalysis of analytes in order to conduct pharmacokinetic studies successfully. When compared to other analytical techniques, LC-MS detection is the greatest option for developing a method with the appropriate LLOQ and ULOQ, as well as accuracy. AM-SLN had significantly higher (P
