Abstract

The presented clothes peg was made by an unknown British Gypsy man. Their manufacture belonged to typical occupations of poor Romani in Great Britain. This type of wooden peg was used to hang underwear on a clothesline, which in the 1980s would still be left outside, to dry in the wind. 1995, Leicester Inventory number: MT-E/3330/1-10 District Museum in Tarnów https://muzea.malopolska.pl/en/objects-list/1332 Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
