Law of Dissipative Flow (LUDF): Stability, Energy Balance, and Predictive Damping in Driven Media
Abstract
We formulate the Law of Dissipative Flow (LUDF) as a law stating that, in driven media with finite propagation and local feedback, dissipation acts as a stabilizing mechanism that compresses fluctuations, bounds correlation growth, and improves return toward a robust operating regime. We present deterministic and stochastic formulations, derive effective decay rates under predictive damping, and state falsifiable predictions for return times, hysteresis areas, and Ornstein–Uhlenbeck parameters. We summarize illustrative validation in two canonical dissipative regimes: reaction–diffusion (Gray–Scott) and a 2D incompressible flow surrogate. The present version does not claim a universal account of all non-equilibrium dynamics, but isolates LUDF as a compact law of energetic stabilization under local dissipation and mild predictive damping.
