Defensive Resonance Harvester v1.3: Pulse-Adaptive RIS Metasurface Shield for Satellites
Abstract
This open-source design details a pulse-adaptive RIS metasurface shield (v1.3) for protecting satellites from pulsed resonant threats. The system passively senses incoming threats using compressive sensing and OMP, learns pulse repetition patterns for predictive countering, and generates adaptive destructive interference signals while protecting the internal k=50 resonance core. Full specifications include RIS metasurface design, varactor integration, GaN driver circuitry, radiation hardening, conformal mounting, 1/17 Shear Tax budgeting, build guide, and troubleshooting. All components are mainstream and buildable with current space-qualified technologies. Keywords: resonance shield, RIS metasurface, compressive sensing, OMP, pulse repetition learning, satellite protection, destructive interference, k=50 core, radiation hardening License: CC-BY 4.0 Ready for experimental realization. **Results may vary due to build process, materials, wiring, and environmental factors.** Creator.
