Building a Secure and Real-Time Web Chat Application with Django Channels

Chat applications have become essential tools for real-time communication, enabling users to exchange messages instantly across various platforms. However, with increasing usage comes growing concern over data security and user privacy. Many popular messaging applications fail to meet robust security standards, exposing messages to potential interception. This paper presents the development of a secure and real-time web chat application using the Django framework with Django Channels. The system is designed to provide end-to-end encrypted communication while utilizing WebSocket technology for seamless real-time interaction. Emphasis is placed on both real-time capabilities and strong security
