CHANS-SD-YRB V1.0: A System Dynamics model of the coupled human-natural systems for the Yellow River Basin

The CHANS-SD-YRB model was developed based on the VENSIM DSS 9.3 software platform. The released model version V1.0 package includes model files for execution, simulation results files, data files for validation, and sensitivity, and summary of exogenous variables.Ensure that 'CHANS_SD_YRB_V1.mdl' and 'data_input_vensim_V1.xls' are in the same folder. Then, open 'CHANS_SD_YRB_V1.mdl' using Vensim DSS software, click the Run button, and the model will execute. 'data_input_vensim_V1.xls' is the exogenous input data required for simulation.'TENmodule_couple_his.vdfx' is the simulation results for the historical period, only support by the Vensim.'TENmodule_future_Baseline.vdfx' is the simulation results for baseline scenario, only support by the Vensim.'ture data.vdfx' is the validation file for the historical period, only support by the Vensim.'YRBdata_true2020.xls' is the validation data for the historical period.'exogenous_parameters_(constant)_inputs.xlsx' is the summary of exogenous constant variables.'exogenous_time-varying_inputs.xlsx' is the summary of exogenous time-varying variables.'sensitivity_analysis_parameters.xlsx' is the summary of parameters for sensitivity analysis.'sensitivity_simulation.vdfx' is the simulation results for the sensitivity analysis, only support by the Vensim.'CHANS_SD_YRB_V1_Sensitivity.lst' and 'CHANS_SD_YRB_V1_Sensitivity.vsc' are required for Vensim to perform sensitivity analysis.‘sensitivity_analysis_parameters.xlsx’ is the summary of constant parameters vlaue for sensitivity analysis.Note that the Vensim PLE allows users to view the model but does not support model execution.
