Two-Streams Improved: A Physics-Guided Data-Driven Approach (code)
Abstract
Code necessary to reproduce the results presented in our paper "Two-Streams Improved: A Physics-Guided Data-Driven Approach" (Ho & Pincus 2025). This is not the full codebase but the core building blocks; all paper results and figures can be recreated by lightly adapting these scripts or those for our previous paper (10.5281/zenodo.11561969). See twostream_functions_DYAMOND.py and GPU Timing Tests.ipynb for our specially designed algorithms like the interpolators. Warning that much of this code requires HPC-scale resources. In addition, the starting data is from https://portal.nccs.nasa.gov/datashare/G5NR/DYAMONDv2/03KM/DYAMONDv2_c2880_L181 and is not included. The minimal required packages are NumPy (2.2.6 used) SciPy (1.16.0 used) Xarray (2025.7.0 used) and many more packages are required in specific parts of the code. Contact: Dion, dh3065@columbia.edu
