The namelist and datasets used in the paper entitled "Assimilating FY4A AMV winds with the Nudging-Forced-3DVar Method for Promoting the Numerical Nowcasting of '7.20' Rainstorm over Zhengzhou" of Remote Sensing

1. Method. "namelist.zip" includes the main options for methods as the observation quality control check (QCC), Nudging(OA and FDDA) 1) namelist.obsproc, for QCC run using defined soundings. e.g., for Geo-satellite AMV winds of mutiple channels fusing: AMV winds at the identical horizontal location a, without duplication or at varying heights/pressures, are merged to constitute the atmospheric profile at point a. Note that a could be a flexiable range based AMV data's horizational resolution. 2) namelist.oa for OA's Cressman analysis run, namelist.input for WRF's FDDA run Note: all the namelist options have been detailed in the ARW WRF UserGuide (version 3.9 or later). 2. Raw observations covering the "7.20" rainstorm period. 1) "rawobs.zip" contains the surface AWS observations (Beijing Time, 1-h), 9 s-band Radar (UTC, 6-min), and gridded CLDAS data (UTC, 1-h), which are used for verfication of NFV nowcasting initialized at 06:00~12:00 UTC. 2) "satellite.tar.gz" contains China's real-time FY-4A AMV winds (UTC, 3-h).
