Abstract

This record contains the STL surface models for three reconstructions of Tupandactylus imperator used in the computational fluid dynamics study “Giant tapejarid cranial crests impose aerodynamic penalties and reduce passive stability: a CFD study of Tupandactylus imperator.” The archive includes a crestless control model (CTRL), a model with a concave cranial crest (CONC), and a model with a large convex cranial crest (CONV-L). The configurations differ in cranial crest morphology and correspond to the geometries used in the aerodynamic analyses and associated figures. The files are provided to document the model geometries, support reproducibility, facilitate further analyses, and enable reuse under the specified license. Please note that the STL files do not by themselves contain the complete CFD workflow, including computational meshes, solver settings, boundary conditions, and simulation results.
