Reconstructing Ambient Temperature Changes in Death Time Estimation with a Bayesian Double-Exponential Approach
Abstract
Code and data for the reconstruction of ambient temperature drop in time of death estimation We provide Octave code and temperature measurement data for- empirircally estimating thermal sensor likelihood- estimating time and amplitude of a single sudden ambient temperature drop from temperature measurement data in two thermally different compartments. Directories - likelihood: temperature measurement data from several thermal sensors and Octave script for estimating noise and bias variances. Entry point for code: calibrate.m The script makes use of the KS test from the Octave statistics package.- boxes: temperature measurement data from two compartments and Octave scripts for estimating ambient temperature jump. Entry points for code: runQuadruple.m, runNewtonML.m
