Abstract

The present invention pertains generally to quantum information processing, photonic integrated circuits, and cryogenic engineering. More specifically, the invention concerns systems and methods for achieving fault-tolerant quantum computing through physical instantiation of synthetic topological lattices in cryogenically stabilized environments, utilizing continuous-variable cluster states. This disclosure also relates to integrated photonics and optical signal processing. Specifically, it concerns monolithic silicon nitride circuits that combine nonlinear optical soliton generation with robust topological routing and spectral filtering for high-bandwidth communications and radio-frequency (RF) photonics. The present disclosure also relates generally to the field of integrated photonics and optical signal processing. More particularly, the invention pertains to passive photonic integrated circuits (PICs) that leverage topological geometry and quasi-periodic lattices for advanced functionalities such as spectral filtering, physical layer encryption, and athermal operation.
