Abstract

This work introduces a quantized projection mechanism emerging from the discrete phase geometry of R⁸, showing how a suppression factor of order $10^{-121}$ arises without fine-tuning.The approach links the effective vacuum energy on a leaf to the bank-scale density via a phase projection coefficient $\varepsilon$, structured by triadic holonomy ($\mathbb{Z}{24}/\mathbb{Z}{48}/\mathbb{Z}_{144}$), a 4-form sequester sector, and symmetry-based cancellations. The note does not claim a definitive solution to the cosmological constant problem, but presents a testable route connecting vacuum energy, discrete topology and phase dynamics under Clause–U.Readers are invited to evaluate, refine, or falsify the mechanism directly. Abstract (v2 Addendum) — Projection-Induced Vacuum Suppression: Identity vs Phase-Charged Sectors This version clarifies the precise sense in which an extreme vacuum-energy suppression (e.g. ∼10⁻¹²¹ in Planck units) can be attributed to the bank→leaf projection mechanism. A key point is that a genuine coarse-graining/projection does not suppress the identity operator, so a bare cosmological-constant term cannot be reduced “by projection alone.” Instead, suppression can arise only if a sequester/topological sector relocates the would-be vacuum contribution into a nontrivial, phase-charged operator whose coupling to the leaf is controlled by discrete holonomy. We formalize this using a holonomy-weighted group-average projector and show how character orthogonality yields strong cancellations for nontrivial representation content, with tiny but nonzero residues arising via leakage (non-split structure), products of fixed discrete factors, or nonperturbative/topological suppression. The addendum provides three concrete checks (identity, representation, radiative stability) and clear falsifiers (radiative regeneration, universality loss, EP-violating couplings). No definitive solution to the cosmological constant problem is claimed; the goal is to make the “projection route” structurally precise and operationally testable.
