SP-43.v1.1: Interim Stewardship Clarification on K0 and AoLOS Runtime Independence
Abstract
Post-Horizon Instrumental Lineage — 4 August 2026 This record forms part of the Post-Horizon Instrumental Lineage of the Architecture of Limitation research programme. The designation and conditions governing subsequent review are established in K1 Open Concordance Phase: A Structured Validation and Evidence-Alignment Programme for the Open Research Release of AoLOS, v1.0, 2 August 2026, doi:10.5281/zenodo.21758275. The record is retained unchanged as evidence of the conditions, tools, concepts, and architectural pressures through which the programme developed. Inclusion in this lineage does not imply retrospective K1 validation or completion of article-level concordance; any proposition-specific qualification, reanalysis, companion publication, or unresolved pressure will be recorded separately through the phase’s declared review process. SP-43.v1.1 provides an interim architectural and stewardship clarification of the present role of K0 within the Architecture of Limitation and the AoL Observational System Stack. The document addresses a mismatch between the language of SP-43.v1, written during the pre-horizon development phase of AoLOS, and the current modular open research architecture. It confirms that K0 is continuous with the original MD_v1_43 architectural atlas and is now packaged as K0_v43.yaml for controlled diagnostic use under stewardship. K0 is not a hidden runtime dependency of AoLOS, an autonomous certification mechanism, or a required component of ordinary public experimentation. The intended open research stack operates through its declared public kernels, apertures, modules, wrappers, contracts, runners, artefacts, and instrumentation surfaces without requiring access to K0. Independent researchers may develop and test apertures, aperture modules, experimental configurations, and related resources without K0 access. K0 becomes relevant only where K0-assisted architectural review and recognised AoL lineage are sought. Such review remains a stewarded process in which K0 functions as a diagnostic reference rather than an autonomous decision-maker. This clarification supersedes SP-43.v1 only in relation to the current public architectural description of K0 and AoLOS runtime dependence. It does not constitute an operative public licence, grant access to K0, settle the final licensing structure of AoL or AoLOS, or create confidentiality obligations outside a separate agreement. The document is issued as an interim clarification pending qualified professional advice concerning licensing, confidentiality, attribution, certification terminology, priority filings, and the wider intellectual-property structure.
