The Golden Ratio ϕ across Mathematics and Physics: Fourteen Peer-Reviewed Pillars — and the Notation R* = ϕ/(2π) (V13)
Abstract
R* itself is essentially a closed hypothesis as of V13. The 1/(2π) factor is not derived; it is a notation inherited from V1-V12 for cycle-period normalization. Mathematically, R* and ϕ carry exactly the same information — dividing ϕ by 2π is information-preserving and contributes nothing that ϕ alone does not already contain. None of the fourteen pillars actually produces ϕ/(2π); they all produce ϕ, log(ϕ), ϕ², or ln²(ϕ). The title therefore identifies V13 as a survey of ϕ, with R* retained only as a notation for continuity with the earlier preprints
