ShyBFM v1.0

The ShyBFM v1.0.0 code implements a transport module to allow the simulation of advective-diffusive processes for an arbitrary number of tracers. The original circulation code (SHYFEM-MPI) can be found here: https://zenodo.org/records/5596734 (Micaletto et al., 2021). The coupling with the BFM biogeochemistry model (Vichi et al., 2023) is carried out via an interface that ensures the exchange of fundamental physical variables required by BFM to compute biogeochemical (BG) rates. The rates are then passed to the transport module for the advection and diffusion of the BG tracers. The BFM code used for the coupling is also shared. A quickstart manual to compile and run the code is included. The code has been verified for the Emilia-Romagna Model (ERM) configuration (10.5281/zenodo.18610313).
