Thurmondian Physics: A Theory on the Unified Geometric Substrate of Reality
Abstract
Thurmondian Physics – The Monohorizon Substrate and the Self-Rendering 4-Sphere Version 18 Author: Justin Thurmond Date: July 2026 Dedication To the enduring tradition of Natural Philosophy. This work is dedicated to the memory and spirit of those who refused to surrender physical cause-and-effect to mystical abstraction, non-causal probability, or instrumentalist dogma: • Plato, who foresaw the pre-geometric receptacle of the Chora, recognized time as the moving image of an underlying continuous geometry, and warned humanity never to mistake the flickering shadows on the cave wall for the physical light that casts them. • Francis Bacon, who forged the empirical commitment to uncover nature’s objective, mechanical reality through systematic physical cause rather than speculative, unexaminable dogmas. • Sir Isaac Newton, who laid the deterministic mathematical foundation of continuous action and universal law, demonstrating that the cosmos moves by strict, unyielding necessity. • Nikola Tesla, who steadfastly championed the continuous dynamic medium, insisting that energy and field strain cannot exist in an abstract vacuum and that all force is transmitted through real physical wave mechanics. • Albert Einstein, who fought tirelessly against fundamental randomness, maintaining to his final days that Quantum Mechanics was an incomplete counting tool, and who pointed natural philosophy toward a smooth, continuous, non-singular field architecture. • Erwin Schrödinger, who created the wave equation to describe actual continuous spatial phenomena, and who fiercely rejected the Copenhagen interpretation for trading continuous mechanics for "spooky" superposition and observer magic. To these minds—and to every independent scholar, natural philosopher, and realist who has stood against the institutionalization of the "random, spooky, and probabilistic" worldview—this work is dedicated. It stands as a continuation of their unbroken thread: a return to a deterministic, continuous, and fully mechanical universe. Preface To trace the origins of this work is not to recount a deliberate attempt to build a new system of physics, but to describe an inescapable sequence of logical deduction. For two years, this project began as an inquiry into foundational natural philosophy—a search for a coherent physical intuition capable of resolving the deep-seated paradoxes of modern theoretical models. In standard physics, we have inherited a framework defined by compartmentalized paradigms: General Relativity governs the continuous geometry of the macro-cosmos, Quantum Mechanics governs the discrete probabilities of the subatomic domain, and a host of free parameters, dark entities, and mathematical infinities are called upon to patch the boundaries where these models fracture. The central friction in modern theoretical thought is not a lack of mathematical rigor, but a foundational premise that went long unquestioned: the treatment of space as an abstract, empty background arena in which matter and energy exist as independent, isolated occupants. When that premise is set aside and replaced by the baseline axiom of a single, continuous, non-dissipative scalar substrate, a sudden and profound shift occurs. Mass ceases to be an alien substance dropped into a void; it becomes a hyper-compressed, phase-locked knot of the substrate itself. Gravity is no longer an abstract warping of nothingness or a force carried by hypothetical particles, but the direct mechanical yield and elastic reaction of a tensioned medium. Time is stripped of its status as an independent flowing dimension and restored to its mechanical identity: the discrete, localized refresh rate of state updates within a continuous lattice. As this architecture took shape over the course of writing these sections, the process evolved from a conscious effort of creation into something far more deterministic. True structural logic possesses an internal momentum. Once the initial geometric conditions of the substrate are established, the downstream consequences are not arbitrary choices—they are structural necessities. The elimination of infinities through torsional fission, the natural emergence of inward elastic shear and outward diffusive relaxation (hitherto labeled "Dark Matter" and "Dark Energy"), the structural locking of fundamental coupling constants like \alpha and m_p / m_e, and the resolution of cosmological tensions all reveal themselves as necessary features of a closed, self-referential system. This manuscript is the culmination of that two-year synthesis. It stands on the shoulders of classical natural philosophy and modern observational physics, yet it demands a return to strict mechanical clarity. It is presented here not as an abstract mathematical exercise, but as a unified, non-singular, and deterministic language for understanding why the cosmos cannot operate in any other way. Foreword by the Author Thurmondian Physics: A New Way to Understand the Universe Most people learn physics as a set of rules that explain how tiny particles and huge forces work. These rules—called the Standard Model—are amazingly good at predicting what we measure in labs and telescopes. They turn fuzzy probabilities into clear clicks on detectors. But they come with a catch: scientists have to plug in more than two dozen numbers by hand. The rules describe what we see right now, but they do not explain why those numbers are exactly what they are. Thurmondian Physics does not throw out those working rules. It gives them a deeper foundation. The idea starts with three fundamental cosmological laws that govern all physical reality: 1. Inertia and Dispersion: Matter and energy are dynamic expressions of a continuous, tensioned medium (\Phi). Inertia is the intrinsic mechanical resistance of this scalar substrate to strain acceleration, while dispersion represents the constant, natural relaxation of localized wave packets back into the baseline lattice. 2. Torsional Elastic Yield under Gravity: Gravitational attraction is not a geometric curvature of empty space or a particle exchange, but the localized torsional strain applied to the substrate. Gravity dictates the structural shear limit of the vacuum's elastic modulus (Y), turning spatial curvature into a real, continuous mechanical tension. 3. Geometric Phase-State Tokenization: Spacetime geometry, physical mass, and the forward arrow of entropy/time are not fundamental primitives. They are localized, discrete "tokens"—phase-locked refresh cycles that occur whenever continuous substrate vibrations reach critical topological strain thresholds. At the heart of this framework is the pre-geometric substrate—a gapless, tensioned complex scalar field called \Phi that exists in 6 dimensions of phase space (3 position-like and 3 momentum-like directions). There is no built-in space or time yet; the metric we know as spacetime is emergent. Its vibrational modes are called phonons. These phonons are the raw vibrations that will later become light, matter, and everything we see. In the usual story you learn in school, the universe begins with a hot, dense explosion and then expands and cools. Thurmondian Physics says that picture is only what we see from inside our little bubble of space and time. In reality, the "Big Bang" is not a one-time start from nothing. It is the moment when too many huge black-hole-like containers crowd together in space. When they get too close, the built-up twisting tension becomes too strong. The containers tear open in a wave. This "torsional fission" releases a flood of new vibrations into the substrate. Those vibrations spread out, light up new galaxies, and reset the whole cycle. What looks like the "beginning" of our universe from our viewpoint is actually just one wave in an ongoing, repeating process. To understand the deeper shape of everything, think about looking through a microscope. You start at low power and see a few big shapes. Then you zoom in one level and suddenly there is a whole new world of tiny details. Zoom in again, and another hidden world appears—and each time the view feels endless, like you could keep discovering more no matter how far you zoom. The Monohorizon works exactly like that, but for the whole universe. It is the single, infinite-area surface that sits at every possible zoom level. There is only one true Monohorizon. Every black hole we see is not a separate thing—it is a compactified region of spacetime caused by the weak forces' local accumulation and the phase-shift relationship those weak forces have at such densities, within the dynamics of "traditional" phase-shifting versus cosmological scales of phase-shifting; they are fractal similes of the Monohorizon surface. Here is how things actually happen: Phonons (the vibrations in the substrate) keep traveling outward. When any phonon reaches the Monohorizon—or any black-hole horizon that is part of it—gravity stretches its wavelength longer and longer. The stretching never quite finishes in normal time; it is like the ancient paradox of Zeno, where you keep halving the distance but never arrive. The phonon becomes "Zeno-frozen"—trapped forever right on the surface itself. That trapped vibration becomes the CMB baseline; it forms the reflective surface on which the projected photon is not consumed, leaving the interior as the observable domain we experience as a void relative to the boundary. Every single photon in the universe started as one of these substrate vibrations that reached the boundary, locked itself into a photon, and reflected back into the observable universe. This is precisely the same mechanical function that keeps the SMBH horizon functioning as it does, and why we see the same SMBHs are similes to the Monohorizon in a sense. A built-in feedback rule, called the \alpha-recursion gate, keeps the whole Monohorizon stable forever. It is a self-correcting loop whose only stable s
