Abstract

The program NBODYCL computes the classical trajectories for n number of charged particles interacting via the Coulomb potential. The Coulomb singularities originating when two or more particles come arbitrary close to each other have been removed by using a global regularization technique. The main program nbodyl_bs.f90 computes the trajectories with regularization. The main subroutine inside the program (coulombN) can be adapted to your general purposes. The nbody_direct f90 program directlry computes the trajectories without any regularization. For both codes, an example driver program is provided which takes intputs from an external file. The program also supports an external oscillating electric field. New version 2026 of the code now returns the propagated time from the subroutine.
