Abstract

This publication is Part 0 of the Flow Collapse Model™ Series.Part 0 defines the official terminology, conceptual boundaries, and structural language of the Flow Collapse Model™—a digestive-first framework for understanding chronic multi-system dysfunction. The Flow Collapse Model™ proposes that many chronic symptoms currently categorized as stress-related, psychosomatic, or idiopathic may instead reflect an upstream collapse of digestive flow. This upstream failure—across mucosal integrity, bile-flow dynamics, stomach-acid flow, and enzyme signaling—leads to downstream nutrient-delivery breakdown and widespread neuro-metabolic dysregulation. This glossary establishes the authoritative vocabulary for describing these mechanisms. It standardizes terms such as Digestive-First Etiology™, Upstream Reset™, Flow-Collapse Dynamics™, Digestive Flow Architecture™, Shutdown Phenotype, and others used throughout the series. Purpose of Part 0:– define the canonical terms of the Model– set the conceptual and clinical boundaries– prevent misinterpretation, unauthorized derivatives, or misuse– ensure consistent language across Parts 1 and 2 Series Structure: Part 0: Flow Collapse Model™ — Official Glossary of Terms (this document) Part 1: Flow Philosophy — Foundations of the Flow Collapse Model™ Part 2: Mechanistic Model & Case Evidence Part 3: The Flow Collapse Sequence — Pressure Path and Depletion Path This glossary is not a treatment guide. It serves as the reference framework for researchers, clinicians, and educators who engage with the Flow Collapse Model™ from an upstream-first perspective.
