Abstract

Focused on lowering the install footprint and making the model-analysis and calibration workflows easier to discover, alongside several correctness fixes to the simulation-run machinery. Dependencies: PyQt5 and mpi4py are now optional (gui and mpi extras) instead of required, so the base install no longer needs a Qt GUI stack or an MPI runtime unless you actually use them. Documentation: Rewrote the quick-start docs around the high-level ModelAnalysisContext and CalibrationContext entry points instead of low-level API calls, added runnable examples for sensitivity analysis, Bayesian Optimization, and ABC, and filled in API reference coverage for the visualization module and several previously-undocumented utility modules. Visualization: plot_qoi_over_time gained a show_legend option for combining multiple subplots' legends into one. Model Analysis: Fixed a memory leak in multi-process runs where completed simulation results stayed resident in memory for the life of a run, and resuming a partial run database now detects and rejects a mismatched model configuration instead of silently reusing incompatible data. Includes clearer MPI error messages and support for None as a QoI placeholder in custom summary-function workflows.
