How SIRRIPA Correctly Predicted the Magnificent Seven's 2024–2025 Performance—and Reveals Their Prospects for 2026
Abstract
This article evaluates the predictive accuracy of SIRRIPA, a forward-looking return metric derived from the Potential Payback Period (PPP), by testing its early-2024 forecasts against the realized performance of the Magnificent Seven throughout 2024 and 2025. Whereas conventional valuation tools—particularly the P/E ratio—misclassified several of the group’s strongest future performers, SIRRIPA correctly identified NVIDIA, Tesla, and Alphabet as the highest-potential stocks while signaling lower prospects for Apple and Microsoft. The empirical results show a strong positive correlation between SIRRIPA and realized returns, with nearly 40% of cross-sectional performance variation explained by the metric alone. Updated SIRRIPA values as of December 2025 further provide evidence-based prospects for 2026, again highlighting NVIDIA and Meta as the most attractive forward-looking opportunities. These findings underscore SIRRIPA’s demonstrated ability to anticipate return differentials among mega-cap growth stocks more effectively than traditional valuation measures.
