Abstract

Boundary note (added 2026-07-23): the Ω-centered empirical layer was self-retracted on 2026-05-31. Ω-centered validation is not currently supported as the active empirical basis; this record remains a historical, fixed, Ω-centered record and must not be cited as current validation. See the VOT Empirical Layer Boundary Note — https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20474232. A later four-dataset head-to-head found that order gated by critical slowing does not beat free-energy signals (10.5281/zenodo.21422215, negative result). Update note (revised 2026-07-23): This record is an older canonical structural overview. The current public specification and claim boundary are now The Pleasure Order — Theory Specification and Honest Claim-Boundary v1.5, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21205718 (concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20770206):https://zenodo.org/records/21205718 This older record should be read as structural and historical background, not as the current public specification or validation record. Status: Canonical Structural Overview This document is the canonical structural overview of The Pleasure Order. Orientation entry: Entry Point Definition This document is the canonical structural reference for The Pleasure Order. Related execution, reference, reproducibility, and empirical materials retain their own operational roles but do not replace this overview. The Pleasure Order — Structural Overview follows the Entry Point Definition and provides the stabilized structural backbone of the framework. It presents a unified theory explaining how long-term directionality originates, stabilizes, transforms, and collapses across all scales of reality. This work proposes a scale-invariant structural theory in which the same directionality variables — Ω (Directionality Potential), dΩ/dt (Valence Flux), and dC/dt (Coherence Flux) — govern matter, life, mind, and civilization. The overview presents the scale-integrated structural backbone of the theory and states the structural claim that common directional principles can be read continuously: from non-life physical systems, to biological self-maintaining systems, to human reflexive cognition, and ultimately to societies and civilizations. The framework clarifies how directionality: emerges from external gradients, becomes self-maintaining in living systems, turns reflexive within human cognition, and scales into macro-level civilizational dynamics. This document focuses exclusively on the structural backbone and scale-invariant principles of the theory. It does not introduce new concepts, applications, or prescriptions. Full mathematical formulations, formal variable definitions, and applied analyses are provided in separate core and applied works.
