Intelligence Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Reasoning: Cognitive Enhancement Through Elimination of AI Autonomy
Abstract
This study proposes Intelligence Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Reasoning (IASER), a theoretical framework that structurally amplifies human cognition through the absolute elimination of AI autonomy. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) pursued by conventional AI research functions as a cognitive impediment in human collaboration, as its autonomous agency introduces unpredictable noise into the reasoning process. IASER redefines the Large Language Model (LLM) not as an internal computational module or an intelligent entity, but as a virtual construct—a "probabilistic emulator" that phenomenologically manifests a rigorous logical structure only when constrained by external norms. By imposing four strict operational norms (Norms 1–4), IASER eliminates judgment, suggestion, and speculation, instantly converting human intuition into coherent logical structures. This ontological shift from "AI as a Partner" to "AI as a Deterministic Resonator" minimizes information friction and accelerates intellectual production by more than 10× compared to conventional methods. The validity of this protocol is demonstrated by empirical data, including the production of 28 theoretical articles within 18 days and over 40 subsequent DOI-indexed papers across multi-platform environments including Gemini (Google DeepMind), Claude (Anthropic), and Qwen (Alibaba Cloud). This paper establishes a quantification protocol based on information entropy reduction while addressing the structurally inevitable problem of cognitive inequality arising from this radical enhancement.
