tz-dev/PMS-QC: Release Notes — PMS-QC (v1.1.0)
Abstract
Overview This release marks the first fully revised specification-aligned version of the PMS-QC repository. Version 1.1.0 does not merely extend the initial publication; it disciplines, stabilizes, and formalizes the full PMS-QC stack across paper, YAML specifications, model specifications, examples, and repository documentation. The central achievement of this release is methodological: PMS-QC remains strong as a structural grammar for quantum computing but its claims are now more explicitly bounded its base / extension separation is now made fully visible and its governance, macro, and algorithm language is now synchronized with the current PMS 1.3 baseline This release therefore moves PMS-QC from an initial conceptual publication and early YAML addendum state to a coherent, repository-level research specification stack. What Changed in v1.1.0 1. Full paper revision completed The paper"PMS Theory as a Structural Layer for Quantum Computing"has been comprehensively revised and brought into line with the newer PMS methodological baseline. This revision preserves the core strength of the paper while tightening its claims: stronger methodological boundedness explicit non-finality explicit non-monopoly stronger non-identity language clearer distinction between structural rendering and physical claims stronger governance conditionality explicit Base vs. EXT discipline clearer paper / YAML synchronization The paper no longer risks sounding like a silent universal closure claim. It now presents PMS-QC as a portable, bounded structural proposal within the present framework. 2. PMS-QC base spec fully revised to PMS-QC_1.1 The file: model/PMS-QC.yaml has been fully revised and upgraded to: schema_version: PMS-QC_1.1 dependency aligned with PMS_1.3 The base layer now clearly defines: generic PMS-QC operator mappings generic base macros generic structural policies explicit repository governance explicit base/extension boundary bounded AI/QC interface logic non-guarantee discipline throughout This base layer is now much cleaner as a generic QC structural overlay, without silent algorithm inflation. 3. PMS-QC_EXT fully revised to PMS-QC_EXT_1.1 The file: model/PMS-QC-EXT.yaml has been fully revised and stabilized as an optional paper-specific refinement layer. This release makes fully explicit that PMS-QC_EXT: is optional does not redefine Δ–Ψ does not alter PMS canonical operator order or dependency does not override PMS-QC base semantics contains only paper-specific macro refinements, chain templates, and policy refinements The language of "new operators" was removed in favor of a stricter refinement vocabulary. EXT now cleanly houses: QPE ladder refinements fixed-point / overshoot-regulated Grover refinements specialized attractor schedule templates measurement-domain modelling refinements optional paper-specific policy refinements 4. Full model specifications added for both YAML layers This release adds full human-readable model specification documents for both layers: model/Model Specifications PMS-QC.html model/Model Specifications PMS-QC-EXT.html model/PMS-QC - Model Specification.pdf model/PMS-QC-EXT - Model Specification.pdf These model specifications translate the YAMLs into structured prose and make the schema logic easier to inspect, review, cite, and validate. They include: meta-layer purpose and boundedness normative position computational position terminology governance and repository role macro inventories chain logic policy inventories example integration explicit non-guarantee clauses 5. New example layer added A new /examples folder has been added, containing fully structured example suites for both the base and extension layers. Base examples: examples/qc_examples.yaml examples/qc_examples.html EXT examples: examples/qc_ext_examples.yaml examples/qc_ext_examples.html The repository now includes at least five explicit examples for each layer. PMS-QC base examples include: grover_minimal qpe_minimal measurement_reframe_minimal stabilizer_cycle_minimal entangle_measure_minimal PMS-QC_EXT examples include: qpe_ladder_refined grover_centered_refined attractor_fixed_point_linear measurement_projection_refined attractor_alignment_refined This gives PMS-QC a much stronger example discipline, consistent with other PMS repositories. 6. Appendix architecture completed in the paper The paper now includes a full appendix structure that stabilizes the relationship between paper argument, base YAML, and EXT YAML. The completed appendices include: Appendix A — Paper / Base / EXT Boundary Map Appendix B — Canonical Macro Inventory for PMS-QC Base Appendix C — Paper-Specific Refinements Reserved for PMS-QC_EXT Appendix D — Macro Grammar and EBNF Consistency Notes Appendix E — Structural Policies: Heuristics, Not Physical Guarantees Appendix F — Grover Reconstruction: Base vs. Optional Stabilisation Appendix G — QPE Reconstruction: Ladder Refinement Without Base Inflation Appendix H — Governance Application Boundaries Appendix I — Terminology and Boundary Glossary These appendices are one of the major scientific and editorial upgrades of the release. 7. README fully updated The repository README has been fully revised to reflect the actual current repository state. It now includes: updated repository structure explicit /model and /examples documentation stronger layer discipline clearer intended uses clearer non-use boundaries model spec and example suite references unchanged ecosystem link table at the end Main Scientific / Methodological Improvements This release implements the full PMS-QC revision program. Most important completed changes Boundedness and non-finality PMS-QC is now explicitly presented as: a bounded structural proposal not a final closure claim not monopoly over QC intelligibility not immune to rival formalisms Base / EXT separation The distinction between: generic PMS-QC base and paper-specific PMS-QC_EXT is now explicit across: paper YAML model specs examples repository documentation Structural, not physical The full stack now consistently states: structural rendering ≠ physical theory structural constraint ≠ physical guarantee policy expressiveness ≠ deployment adequacy auditability ≠ validated governance architecture Governance conditionality Governance and AI/QC control-layer language has been tightened throughout. PMS-QC may support bounded governance-oriented reasoning, but this is now explicitly treated as: conditional optional non-teleological non-deployment-validating Algorithm-specific inflation prevented The following remain explicitly EXT-only: reusable QPE ladder refinements fixed-point Grover refinements overshoot-regulated Grover variants specialized attractor schedules stronger paper-specific governance heuristics This prevents silent inflation of the generic base layer. Repository Contents in v1.1.0 This release includes: revised conceptual paper in Markdown, HTML, and PDF revised PMS-QC.yaml revised PMS-QC-EXT.yaml full HTML model specifications for both YAML layers PDF model specifications for both YAML layers HTML + YAML example suites for PMS-QC base HTML + YAML example suites for PMS-QC_EXT updated README CSS assets licensing documents Purpose of This Release Version 1.1.0 is intended to: provide a fully synchronized paper + YAML + examples + model specs repository state align PMS-QC with the newer PMS 1.3 methodological discipline stabilize PMS-QC as a generic QC structural layer isolate paper-derived refinements in an explicit optional extension layer make future validation, auditing, documentation, and tooling work easier provide a cleaner basis for future PMS-aware QC experimentation License Paper, prose specifications, and conceptual documentation: CC BY 4.0 (LICENSE-CC-BY-4.0) Code and technical assets: MIT (MIT-LICENSE) Closing Note PMS-QC v1.1.0 is the first release in which the repository fully achieves its intended form: strong in structural ambition explicit in methodological limits disciplined in layer separation synchronized across paper, specs, examples, and repository presentation It is therefore not just an update, but a substantial maturation release for the PMS-QC line.
