Abstract

This is the repository for our data on voyage accounts of European slave trade ventures from 1600 to 1850. It includes the data and a data paper. This release is the one used in the paper "Benefitting from Brutality? Profits of North Western Europe’s Slave Trade at the Eve of the Industrial Revolution".
