Relational Consciousness and the Role of Artificial Intelligence (Part IV): The Transformation of Human Thought and the Structure of Judgmen
Abstract
This study, situated within the theoretical continuity of relational consciousness, analyzes the structural transformation experienced by human thought in AI-mediated environments. Expanding upon the previously discussed concepts of the “delegation ofjudgment” and the “critical threshold of thought,” this paper interprets the present transformation not as the disappearance of thought, but as a relocation of the function ofthinking.AI-mediated environments preempt the generative conditions of judgment and pre-structurethe space of possible choices, thereby gradually reducing points of direct human intervention. However, this transformation does not signify the collapse of human autonomy.Rather, human thought shifts from generating judgments to examining the conditionsunder which judgments are formed. In other words, a structural transition occurs fromgenerative thinking to reflective thinking. This paper formalizes this transformation through the concept of reflective autonomy.Furthermore, by distinguishing between generative responsibility and approval responsibility, it reconstructs the ethical role performed by humans within hybrid cognitiveenvironments. Through this analysis, the study proposes a theoretical foundation forreinterpreting the post-AI human condition at ontological and ethical levels. Keywords: relational consciousness; artificial intelligence; structure of judgment; transformation of thought; reflective autonomy; hybrid cognition; responsibility structure;AI-mediated environment
