TREMOL_singlets: stochastic rupture earthquake model (TREMOL v1.0)
Abstract
TREMOL (sTochastic Rupture Earthquake MOdeL) is a Julia code that simulates seismic asperity-rupture scenarios in subduction zones using the Fiber Bundle Model (FBM). Given a fault domain, an embedded asperity, and a small set of dimensionless mechanical parameters, TREMOL generates synthetic earthquake catalogs whose frequency-magnitude distribution reproduces the transition from Gutenberg-Richter scaling to characteristic-earthquake behavior. The repository includes the core FBM engine, pre- and post-processing scripts, two worked examples with expected output, and a user manual. Distributed under GPL-3.0. https://github.com/mmonterr/TREMOL_singlets
