HabitableWorldsObservatory/pyEDITH: v1.7.2
Abstract
[1.7.2] - 2026-08-17 Breaking Changes Updated default coronagraph for EAC1: Changed default configuration from Optimal charge to the EAC1 Apodized Vortex Coronagraph. Workflows using implicit EAC1 coronagraph defaults will produce updated throughput and contrast profiles. If you were using the Optimal charge coronagraph and want to reproduce previous values, declare the coronagraph explicitly: parameters= { ... 'telescope_type': 'EAC1', 'detector_type': 'EAC1', 'coronagraph_type':'eac1_optimal_order_6_1d', ... } If you use the Apodized Vortex Coronagraph in your work, please cite Redmond et al. (2026). Redmond, S. F., Mawet, D., Bertrou-Cantou, A., Ruane, G., & Llop-Sayson, J., 2026. Apodized vortex coronagraph for the habitable worlds observatory, Journal of Astronomical Telescopes, Instruments, and Systems, 12(4), 041011. doi:10.1117/1.JATIS.12.4.041011 Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where overriding Integral Field Spectrograph (IFS) parameters was not entirely functional. New Features & Improvements Input File Standardization & Validation: Reformatted input files to align with the RASTI example and implemented additional validation checks to catch invalid configuration files prior to execution. Parameter Naming Consistency: Standardized nlambd and nlambda variable usage across all modules. Full Changelog: https://github.com/HabitableWorldsObservatory/pyEDITH/compare/v1.7.1...v1.7.2
