Field Geometry (EFT): An Ecological Field Theory
Abstract
Critical Historical Edition This release adds the Critical Historical Edition of Field Geometry (EFT): An Ecological Field Theory as a companion to the existing manuscript. The Critical Historical Edition provides a retrospective examination of the development of Field Geometry (EFT), including its mathematical constructions, representational choices, revision history, and the observational recognitions that remain significant after formal review. It includes: - a Historical Preface reconstructing the conditions under which the original mathematical framework emerged and its subsequent revision history;- a Synthesis distinguishing observational recognition, representational instrument, mathematical disposition, and historical standing;- a Provenance Cross-Check testing the review against the manuscript's documented revision history; and- a Disposition Matrix providing a section-by-section assessment of the mathematical and observational status of the original framework. Field Geometry (EFT): An Ecological Field Theory presents a formal mathematical framework for modeling structure as a constrained dynamical field defined over conditions of linguistic coherence. The framework develops a unified formalism spanning manifolds, tensor fields, operator dynamics, and spectral structure, and characterizes stability, attractors, phase transitions, and collapse within the field. The theory does not assume that intelligence resides within any single system, but instead represents structure at the level of the field under constraint. The original manuscript is preserved unchanged. The purpose of this edition is not to repair, reconstruct, or retrospectively modernize the original formalism. Instead, it establishes a historical and evidentiary account of what the manuscript attempted to represent, what remains mathematically supportable, what requires repair or rebuilding, and which underlying recognitions remain observationally significant. Mathematical validity and observational survival are therefore treated as separate questions. Formal constructions that do not survive mathematical review may still document meaningful stages in the development of the inquiry, while mathematically valid constructions are not assumed, on that basis alone, to provide faithful representations of the phenomena under study. The Critical Historical Edition should be read before the original manuscript and now serves as the primary interpretive entry point to Field Geometry (EFT). Future mathematical work, if undertaken, will proceed from the recognitions and questions that remain alive in the current body of work rather than from an attempt to rescue or complete the historical formalism.
