SketchLay: User-Guided Force-Directed Graph Layout through Freehand Sketching - Quantitative Testing Dataset & Results
Abstract
This dataset contains the input data, experimental results, and test scripts used in the quantitative evaluation of the "SketchLay: User-Guided Force-Directed Graph Layout through Freehand Sketching" algorithm, available at https://github.com/sciluna/sketchlay. The dataset supports both the parameter sensitivity and robustness analyses and the alignment and layout performance evaluation described in the manuscript. sketches contains the sketch images used throughout the quantitative evaluation: base contains the 20 original base sketches. rotated contains the 30°, 45°, and 60° rotated variants of the base sketches. noisy contains the low-, medium-, and high-noise variants of the base sketches. parameter_sensitivity contains the experiments evaluating the key sketch-processing parameters: connection_tolerance contains the scripts and results for evaluating the connection tolerance parameter using the base and noisy sketch variants. slope_threshold contains the scripts and results for evaluating the slope threshold parameter using the base and rotated sketch variants. alignment_layout_performance contains the data and results used to evaluate runtime, soft constraint satisfaction, and alignment performance: graphs contains 160 randomly selected graphs from the Rome graph dataset. graph-sketch.txt contains the graph-sketch pairings. The 80 sketches consisting of the 20 base sketches and their 30°, 45°, and 60° rotated variants are each paired with two distinct graphs. results contains the generated layouts and evaluation results, including runtime, soft constraint, and alignment measurements. scripts contains the scripts used to run and evaluate the alignment and layout performance experiments.
