Abstract

This release derives a single falsifiable chain from ion channels to behaviour on one substrate: the R19 bistable switch (the cusp-catastrophe normal form). A neuron is a slow switch, so the brain speaks at low frequency; the inhibitory clock sets the band, so one E/I circuit spans δ → θ → γ (autism up, Alzheimer slow); a theta frame of gamma slots makes working-memory capacity the θ/γ ratio (≈ 7 ± 2) — the one link confirmed causally by tACS. Memory (attractor pattern-completion, capacity ≈ 0.138 N), value, binding, a control-based account of morality, and the full motor output rest on that code. Subjective experience is held open and deferred to the companion volume. The chain is anchored to measurement at both ends and modelled, with absolute scales labelled honestly open, in the middle. The molecular end: sense organs and the spinal locomotor architecture emerge from the measured promoter quantity γ = −mean nearest-neighbour stacking ΔG (SantaLucia 1998) placed on the R19 spinodal — the ventral dorsoventral order p3/pMN/p2/p1/p0 is derived from the Shh spinodal, not assumed. The mechanical/architectural end: the muscle force–length law is derived from filament geometry against Gordon–Huxley–Julian 1966 (|Δ| ≤ 0.02 µm), and the motor size principle is derived from Ohm's law and bound to two cited cat-motoneuron datasets, with the force–frequency saturation closed as twitch fusion (no tuned constant). Two electromagnetic capstones quantify the endogenous near-field against the measured ephaptic threshold (a derived ΔVm = 0.2748 mV contained in the independently-measured < 0.5 mV), establishing the physics while keeping any functional role open. A complete sensory atlas shows all nine modalities emerging from measured γ (corr(γ, GC) = 0.997). New in v1.11.0: the analgesic target logic is inherited from analgesic_threshold_logic v2.0 (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20733420) and re-derived on this volume's own byte-identical engine (drift 0) — a 27-target, three-lever firing-threshold map for the primary somatosensory nociceptor, this volume being its canonical home. Neuropathic/sensitised pain is owned here as an acquired firing-threshold shift on the locked R19 element, with three structural levers that monotonically raise the threshold back to baseline; the monogenic pain channelopathies are cross-referenced to disease_wp, and the felt/affective pain is deferred to the Mind volume. The DNA-emergence grounding is made explicit: the nociceptor lineage emerges from one inherited measured γ (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.20471407) via the shared R19 primitive (form ← γ). Discipline (VP-SPEC v1.8): every claim follows LOCK → Derive → Gate; every displayed number is regenerated deterministically (SEED = 19, double SHA-256) with HTML↔code drift zero across all 24 chapters; claims carry an honest grade ([V] simulation-verified, [L] anchored, [F] forced, [O] open). Firewall: γ is a read-out of DNA promoter structure only — never a channel voltage, drug potency, dose, in-vivo selectivity, or clinical effect (all [O]); no molecule is designed and nothing diagnoses, treats, or prescribes. The reproduction harness in the attached archive returns verify_all.py → PASS (6/6).
