HARMONIC PHYSICS: Why Quantum Nonlocality Does Not Violate Relativity
Abstract
This Version 2 paper is a complete conceptual and structural rewrite of the 2025 manuscript. It preserves the central conclusion that quantum nonlocality does not require faster-than-light signalling, while replacing the earlier language of global constraint resolution with the current Harmonic Physics framework of whole-level phase organisation, local co-resolution, observer-space registration, comparative relativity, light co-calibration, and observer-level spacetime curvature. Bell-inequality violations exclude the relevant class of locally factorised hidden-variable models, while quantum no-signalling prevents entangled correlations from being used for controllable superluminal communication. Harmonic Physics interprets an entangled pair as one nonfactorisable whole-level phase organisation whose spatially separated branches co-resolve locally with their respective apparatus relations. Each measurement produces one definite local record. The joint correlation becomes available to an observer only when those records are later compared through an ordinary relativistically constrained communication channel. No detector-to-detector signal is required at the moment of registration. The paper also develops the Harmonic Physics definition of relativity as comparative phase geometry. Phase is not assigned a universal native clock. A clock is a selected recurring phase relation; proper time is its local count; coordinate time compares counts across observer relations; and light makes temporal count and relational separation commensurate. Each observer’s clock, ruler, body, instruments, and light-based calibration co-resolve locally as one consistent organisation. Relativistic differences therefore arise through comparison between locally consistent observer relations. In gravitational settings, the nonuniform comparison of clock, light, path, and distance relations is represented geometrically as curved spacetime. The paper separates four explanatory levels that are often conflated: the nonfactorisable whole-level quantum relation; local apparatus–system co-resolution and definite records; causal exchange of those records; and relativistic comparison geometry. Quantum nonlocality occupies the first two levels, signalling belongs to the third, and spacetime curvature to the fourth. Their coexistence therefore creates no contradiction. The standard quantum-mechanical and relativistic formalisms are retained. The paper does not derive the complete quantum formalism, the Einstein field equations, GGG, gravitational source strength, or a covariant phase-to-geometry map, and it introduces no new experimental prediction. The associated Harmonic Physics Bell result remains classified as a Partial Derivation Pass. Version note: Version 1 remains the archival first formulation under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.17994625. Version 2 supersedes its interpretive framework and should be cited as the current paper.
