Dataset and Algorithm 1 for "Finite Element Modeling of Glacier-Bed Evolution: A Case Study of Xue Mountain Cirque No. 2, Taiwan"
Abstract
This repository provides the dataset underlying Figure 8 and Algorithm 1 associated with the article: Lee, H.-C. (2026). "Finite Element Modeling of Glacier-Bed Evolution: A Case Study of Xue Mountain Cirque No. 2, Taiwan.” Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers. https://doi.org/10.1080/02533839.2026.2669183 The dataset contains the admissible combinations of ice thickness H and sliding constant Cb corresponding to the reference erosion duration D* = 9000 a. It includes the MATLAB plotting script and source data used to generate Figure 8. Algorithm 1 describes the computational workflow used for the transient glacier-bed evolution simulations based on the nonlinear Stokes equations and the erosion model. These materials are provided to support the reproducibility and reuse of the results reported in the associated publication.
