Abstract

In employment for individuals with ASD, a trait-factor theory approach based on the "barrel model" concept, which utilizes the three major characteristics of ASD, may be effective in selecting workplaces. In combinations of multiple characteristics of ASD, early detection and intervention may prevent problems in combinations that are likely to cause issues. The novelty of this paper lies in the following: * The point that the combination of not only the strongest special interests in ASD, but also second and below special interests, may influence vocational aptitude. * The suggestion that there may be an ideal balance of co-occurring ADHD and ASD for each new business in each industry.(Occupational Aptitude Hypothesis of ASD/ADHD Balance, OAHAB) * Presentation of a framework for analyzing employment support for individuals with ASD using the "Liebig's Barrel Law" concept.(The Vocational Barrel Model of Autism Spectrum Disorder,VBMA) * Pointing out the potential influence of the "cuteness" of the special interests in individuals with ASD on their utilization of welfare and medical services. * Pointing out that the stress portion of the vulnerability-stress model in ASD may be influenced by the ranking of the steady-state phase of the S-curve.(S-curve steady-state social ranking and persecution hypothesis,SSRP) The main text, except for the title and abstract of the paper, is written in Japanese.
