Zettelstore: v2.1.0
Abstract
Zettelstore v2.1.0 Release Notes This release focuses on significantly improving Markdown support. You can now use Markdown as a first-class supported format alongside Zettelmarkup, making it easier to work with existing Markdown notes and integrate Zettelstore into Markdown-based workflows. Improved Markdown support Zettelstore now supports Extended CommonMark (emark) in addition to standard CommonMark. This dialect adds support for GitHub-style tables and strikethrough formatting while remaining compatible with CommonMark. The Markdown encoder has also been updated to generate Extended CommonMark output by default. A new runtime configuration option, markdown-dialect, lets you choose which Markdown dialect is used for the generic syntax values md and markdown. The default value, cmark, selects the standard CommonMark dialect. Please note that Markdown remains less expressive than Zettelmarkup. Features such as transclusions are not available, and some advanced text formatting options have no Markdown equivalent. Additionally, for security reasons, HTML embedded in Markdown documents may be ignored or hidden, depending on your Zettelstore configuration. Other improvements File uploads now support additional file types. The wildcard value * is now accepted for zettel-file-syntax. Zettelmarkup tables now support empty rows using a single |. Leading and trailing whitespace in table cells is now trimmed automatically. Changelog: https://zettelstore.de/home/doc/trunk/www/changes.wiki#2_1
