Mapping the blood microsample metabolome

This study's primary objective is to investigate the metabolic information obtained by BμS. For this, three Blood Microsampling (BµS) devices, namely Whatman cards, Capitainer B, and Mitra were investigated. Metabolic fingerprints were obtained from the different types of blood microsampling devices by targeted and untargeted approaches by different labs and complementary analytical methods to obtain the most comprehensive fingerprint. This report provides a comprehensive overview of the metabolites detected in the same BµS samples and traditional blood matrices analysed by 5 partner labs within the HUMAN network .
