Abstract

This repository contains the Python analysis code accompanying Yehudai et al., "Reduced N₂ fixation in the tropical Atlantic Ocean during the Warm Late Pliocene" (Nature Communications). The code reproduces the statistical and time-series analyses presented in the main text and Supplementary Information: Foraminifera-bound δ¹⁵N inter-species offset analysis between T. sacculifer and G. ruber at ODP Site 999, including glacial/interglacial regression, Welch t-tests and bootstrap confidence intervals (Supplementary Fig. S5) Cross-spectral (wavelet coherence) analysis between the ODP 999 δ¹⁵N record and dust mass accumulation rate at ODP Site 662, using the Pyleoclim package (Supplementary Fig. S10) Cross-spectral analysis between the ODP 999 δ¹⁵N record and sea surface temperature Continuous spectral analysis of the ODP 662 δ¹⁵N record Laurentide ice-sheet inception analysis Generation of the site location maps Input data are provided in the associated data deposit and the Supplementary Information; file paths in the notebooks should be modified to match the user's local directory structure.
